Solar Calendar Kids’ Shirt - OS

This shirt is made from a cutwork tablecloth, circa 1930s-1940s. Cutwork is a needlework technique in which portions of cloth are carefully cut away & the raw edges are reinforced with fine stitching, embroidery, or lace inserts. This piece was also embroidered all-over with red and black geometric patterns. Hand-mending throughout.
