This workwear jacket is made from a 1940's fan quilt. Fan quilts were a popular pattern in the late 19th century crazy quilts. In the 1930's, many people began making fan quilts with feed sack cotton fabrics and other scraps. This quilt is made from floral, check and plaid feedsack patches.
