This shirt is inspired by a red and white American yo-yo quilt circa 1930s. Yo-yos are tiny circles of fabric slightly larger than a coin gathered into small rosettes and sewn together. This was a popular style of quilt making in America from the 1920s-1940s and allowed women to work on their craft throughout the day without carrying around bulks of fabric. This reproduction is made in India and is made to be worn both by itself and as a layering piece.
